The Mount Prospect Cheerleading Club (MPCC) consists of cheerleaders from Mount Prospect and surrounding suburbs. (Kindergarten through 8th grade). MPCC supports the Mount Prospect Football Association (MPFA) at their football games from the end of August to mid November.
The MPFA is a member of the Northwest Youth Football League (NWYFL.org), which has games in Mount Prospect and also in the surrounding suburbs on Saturdays and Sundays.
MPCC also offers competitive cheerleading for 5th through 8th graders. MPCC is a member of the Illinois Recreational Cheerleading Assocation (IRCA) and has three levels of competition squads: Competition Prep, Junior Varsity, and Varsity. The skills focused on in competition are cheer/dance routines including stunting. The competition practices are separate from football game practices and more physically demanding.
In addition to the mandatory requirement at weekly football games, the competition squad will participate in several all day events during the Fall around the Northern Illinois region.
Volunteers are ALWAYS welcome to assist in the continued success of MPCC.
